Cthuloid by Mavros-Thanatos Cthuloid by Mavros-Thanatos
A new piece I finished tonight. Been working on it a couple days now. I'm trying to do less humanoid stuff and play with shapes more

one of the best.

don't want to criticize, but I noticed hands are usually the least best parts of your drawings..

How so?

Not that there's anything wrong with criticism. I'm just curious because I didn't notice anything off with the hands. Can you please elaborate?

ya sure. compared with rest of the figure the hands are often less solidly modeled. I mean, his gradients are amazing, the first pic I saw made me gasp with its sculptural quality (I learnt a lot just studying his drawings). but compared to that the hands seem quite flat and more carelessly made. I dunno how to explain it more clearly...I guess you'll have to watch closely.

I think I see what you mean. Aside from the fact that they always look quite similar (long and boney), they also seem less finished than the rest of the body and not as polished. However, I didn't notice anything anatomically wrong with them, I actually like the wicked looking gestures they make.

I don't know why, but this artwork I like more than anything else of your art.
