finished this tonight. Kind of a combination of my older stuff and my newer stuff
your designs remind me a lot of Del Toros's Pans Labyrinth
so weird and surrealistic
so weird and surrealistic
I love your art, it helps alot when i draw to use it as references and it lets my imagination think and create new things...im glad you decided to put them on DA
LOL Forearms only? That would suck no matter how creepy you are!
This one is really cool
silent hill really missed this !
awesome design!! The texture on the thighs is perfect.
For some reason, the title of this drawing makes me laugh when I say it out loud.
Names and words for that matter have never been my thing.
Oh, por Dios. Las criaturas que usted crea van más allá de lo que mi mente puede imaginar y/o crear , su trabajo es simplemente estupendo y cada día lo admiro más. ¡Siga así! Definitivamente es un profesional.
Oh my World! Your monsters/creatures are AMAZING! they're my worst nightmares come to life! I love them
Wonderful!!! do you like Wayne Barlowe's art?
Real nice pencil work, reminds me of Wayne Barlow...I really like this one a lot, the composition of the arms and back spikes is a great take on using the human form in a different way.I really hit a wall sometimes when trying to come up with an interesting humanoid silhouette cuz I worry about the bone structure( the mechanics of how it would move) too much...Is it important to you if it's anatomically "correct" or does the form take precedent over the structure?
Again, great work.
Thank you! I start off with a silhouette and interesting shapes then try to backwards engineer the anatomy into it using human and animal anatomy
I think I'll call him Steven.... He looks like a Steven.
Just incredible, so beautiful and inspiring, I love how delicate he looks, despite the imposing creepiness ^_^
...wow. This is beautiful.
I have no idea why, but this reminds me of Guillermo del Toro's films for some reason.
Thanks! Probably the angel of death in Hellboy 2
Hell yeah! Awesome feelings after that! Yay!
That's so cool!! I love how those arms are melded into its body, the demon has such a unique appearance
What kind of supplies do you use for these sketches? If I'm ignorantly missing a guide to your tools I'm sorry!
It's nothing special actually, It's totally ghetto. Cheap 0.5 mechanical pencil with HB lead, a kneaded eraser and a paper towel to blend.
That's what I use but not the kneaded eraser, I really need to get around to buying one, I use Q tips for blending, too. Thank you for responding man, you're probably my biggest inspiration in the art world.
No problem! The kneaded eraser is great because you can shape it. I like to think of it as my "white paint" as well as an eraser. I use the towel and do an overall blur so that I end up with a middle grey tone of graphite that I can then either darken with the pencil or pull up highlights with the eraser. Hope this makes sense
Nice change on where the arms; I keep thinking like his upper arms are behind his back or something but it isn't really, really disorienting.
great work see my galery!
Amazing art concepts!
Oh god, this looks like it came from a nightmare. I like the way how the body is abnormal, but looks natural...if you know what I mean. You should trying drawing demons from demonata, I'd like to see that. Great job!
